DEKALB Seed

DeKalb Logo DEKALB  is our brand of choice for the "High Yield Project". It's familiar logo is pictured on your right. We've chosen this brand for several  reasons. These reasons include Products, People, and Service.

For 2009 we have chosen 3 DEKALB hybrids. In 2008 we used DKC64-24(VT-3) and had excellent results. The other 2 hybrids, DKC63-14(VT-3) and DKC65-63(VT-3) are new and come highly recommended for this project by DEKALB. These hybrids and their descriptive links are listed below.

DKS VT64-24
DKC64-24(VT3) is a "Triple Stacked" 114 RM corn with the with the addition of a second generation or YieldGard VT™ technology. Planned planting population = 38,000.
 
DKS VT63-13
DKC63-14(VT3) is a New "Triple Stacked" 113 RM corn with the with the addition of a second generation or YieldGard VT™ technology.  Planned planting population = 36,000.
 
DKS VT65-63
DKC65-63(VT3) is a New "Triple Stacked" 115 RM corn with the with the addition of a second generation or YieldGard VT™ technology.  Planned planting population = 36,000.
 
 

You may have noticed that were planting all GMO corn in this project. We have worked closely with Monsanto and Sunrise Ag. to make sure that we are in compliance with EPA's "20% IRM refuge requirement".
